Winnipeg Wildflower Project

The Winnipeg Wildflower Project was established in the spring of 2019 with a goal of restoring urban spaces to native prairie habitat.
In our first few years, with the help of our partner, Prairie Originals, we've planted seed plot sites around Winnipeg to establish a source for native wildflower and grass seed. The seed will be harvested and used for future prairie restoration and planting projects within the city.
These seed plots and restored sites will provide critical habitat for native pollinators and wildlife. They will also add beauty to our public spaces and provide plenty of opportunity for educational and volunteer experiences.
We hope you'll consider joining us with this goal and help to create a wilder Winnipeg!
